Some of you may have seen a couple of my Cloud Chaser videos. Two were small enough they could be uploaded from my phone. The rest of the files were a little too large and had to wait till I was home. Now I’m home and getting caught up on life. I thought I would share these with you now, in chronological order.

I’ve been talking about a “Cloud Chasers” program for a long time. Look for more of these in the future as I travel and as interesting weather phenomena affect the clouds above me.

Thursdays roll around, I don’t know, maybe every 7 days or so? And I’m never ready for them. Or for Fridays, either. It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve posted a Fiber Arts Friday post. Will someone please remind me to do one tomorrow?

If Odysseus Knit . . . a Yarn Club

Have you ever wondered what characters in the books you read or the movies you watch would knit, if they did knit? I didn’t until I was on a Robin Hood kick and was watching everything Robin Hood I could find on Netflix. At the same time as I was watching the programs, I was trying to put together my first Yarn Club. Then it all seem to fit. If Robin Hood knit socks, what colors would he use? I fell in love with the idea and came up with colorways to go with it. I still have lots of Robin Hood ideas and may one day resurrect his Yarn Club. But I also thought that Odysseus would probably have quite a few color ideas of his own if he were a knitter. So here it is: If Odysseus Knit . . . Epic Colorways for Your Knitting Adventures! This yarn club is for a 6 Month Club with shipping beginning on the June 15, 2010. Shipping will be on or before the 15th of each month after for a total of 6 months. This is an on-going yarn club and will continue as long as I have colorways. Your club membership of 6 months begins the month after you join.

The yarn base for this yarn is my Rehoboth yarn. It is 100% SuperWash Merino wool. It is an 8-ply yarn that takes up the dye beautifully and creates a smooth fabric with great stitch definition.

Each Skein is 420 yds/100g.
Recommended needle size is US 1 to 3.

It’s Garden and Fresh Veggie Time!

At least that’s the rumor that’s spreading through the bunny community. We have had some adult rabbits visiting and today we found a younger generation getting into the slow food movement. So far, I can’t tell that any of them have eaten the veggies, just the grass growing around them. If I could count on this to continue, I would take the fences down. But I’m not going to count on it. So the fence was extended all the way around, alongside the back steps, and then securely fastened all along the bottom. Without knowing the wisdom of my actions, I placed fence posts along the boundaries of the gardens to form ‘semi-raised’ beds for planting. This made it extra easy for my husband to staple the chicken wire fencing along the bottom. If the bunnies can get in now, they deserve what they get!

Notice the great crop of grass I have? I planted (intentionally) the plant to the upper right of this little munchkin. If you can properly identify it, I would be greatly thankful. I planted lettuce (but not there), spinach (next row over), swiss chard (can’t remember which row), and chinese cabbage (again, can’t remember where). So I’ve got this narrowed down to either the chard or the chinese cabbage – and it doesn’t look like the pictures on either seed package. Whatever it is, the leaves are still young and tender and very good on salads. Mr. Bunny, however, does not appear impressed.
