I found the link to this pizza crust in a forum, and had to try it.  Since we had all the ingredients for the crust on hand, I stopped my exercise regimine (surfing the net) and headed for the kitchen.

I thought it turned out pretty good.  But I like eggs.  Just don’t expect it to taste like  a plate full of dough. But if it’s been ages since you’ve had real pizza crust, it’s a pretty good alternative.  We will be doing this again, I’m sure.

It has been ages since I’ve posted anything in this blog.  Things were pretty crazy here for a while.  First, we got a new grandson.  It took several trips to the hospital to finally get him here.  Then I was helping my daughter by watching him during the day while she rested and caught up on some much needed sleep.  But now things are settling down again and I’m trying to get back to work.  I have been dying wool and now I’m packing it all up to take to a fiber festival in Snow Hill, MD, on Saturday, October 10.  If you’re in the area, I hope to see you there!

I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve posted anything. I know I’ve been working. I know there are new fibers to show for what I’ve done. Why hasn’t it been recorded? I don’t know. Just one of those things that got away from me I suppose.

Anyway. I’ve gotten in a good bit of Merino and Super Wash BFL. In the natural, undyed form, these are both available in my Website Store. Just look on the left hand side for the menu for ‘fiber’ and then ‘natural’. I also have my semi-solids and reproducible dyed fibers and yarns on that site. These are my most recent listings and I’m absolutely in love with them. Please note, however, that the ‘Lemon Lime Ice’ almost glows. The colors are much more brilliant in person. ‘Autumn Bouquet’, on the bottom row, is so very, very lovely. ‘Elven Cloak’ (I’ve been listening to the Lord of the Rings audio book), the blue with shades of gray and lavender, went out in the mail today. I’ll be dyeing more using those colors, but there are no guarantees it will come out the same. That was a very ‘one of a kind’ dyeing day.

Since then, I have also dyed some reds and blues, semi solid as well as handpainted that include white spaces as well, that will be part of an ‘Americana’ colorway line. Hopefully those will be available before the end of the month. We have another camping trip coming up and I won’t be dyeing during that time.

And speaking of camping, this is the first year that we’ve been able to go camping whenever we want (of course working around my husband’s work schedule). But we don’t have a high school schedule to work around and the girls have been busy with their own social lives for quite a while and not interested in camping with us. So this year it has been just my husband and me  – and the dog and rabbits. Yes, they go camping, too. It takes a while to get all the hay cleaned up afterwards, but they are really pretty easy to take care of when we travel.

Anyway. I need to start thinking about getting clothes washed and getting ready to pack for next week. Enjoy your weekend!

This is what I’ve been working on. Must have been the week before last. We went camping last week, so I didn’t dye. (I did knit and finished a shawl, but don’t have pics yet.) And this week has been an organization week for me. I placed a large (for me) order for fiber. When it arrives, I’ll have lots to dye and will be posting pics of all the Fall In Colors.

The semi-solid colors are richer than the photos can show and have a beautiful depth of color. These can be reproduced but if you want larger amounts of a particular color, please order it all at once so that I can insure they come from the same dye pot. These colors can be dyed in lighter or darker tones and on different fibers (protein or cellulose). The fiber shown is all Bluefaced Leicester (BFL).

I can also hand paint these colors on the fiber of your choice, too. Here is some BFL (the lighter) and SuperWash Merino (the darker) in the Fall In Colors.

Finally Fiber!  I’ve been working on yarn with bits of Baby Alpaca and Cotton Fiber thrown in for a good mix.  But I got in a shipment of BFL (Bluefaced Leicester) and Super Wash Merino.  And I’ve been having so much fun with it.

Yesterday Teresa Levite Studio was featured on the PhatFiber Blog. If you’re not familiar with PhatFiber, here’s a little excerpt from the PhatFiber Blog: “The Phat Fiber Sampler box is a way for independent fiber, yarn and related needlecraft companies and artisans to promote their products through a tactile goodie box that goes on sale once monthly.” The sampler boxes are sold on Etsy. The boxes are in high demand. You have to be really quick to get one. And due to nature of the sample boxes, you probably won’t get samples from every contributer. If you would like a sample of a particular yarn base that I can, let me know and I can get one in the mail to you.

Now for a little sneak peak at some hand dyed quilt fabric that will be listed soon – if I don’t decide to use it first.

Here are just a few of the basic colors. These are dyed on 100% cotton muslin. More will be on the way. But I can’t promise when. If you would like to pre-order some of the hand dyed fabric, let me know.

Also, today I listed some over dyes – yarns that I wasn’t excited about so dyed them again. I’m much happier with them now. And since they were all over dyed together, they coordinate well with one another though they don’t match..You can find these, as well as a couple of small batts that I blended, at Teresa Levite Studio, Artfire Edition.

First the Less. That’s been my blogging last week. I’m not sure what happened. But I even missed Fiber Arts Friday. Well, I know what happened Friday. I had a dr. appt. Friday and when I got home, it felt like Saturday. That’s what I get for taking DH with me. Actually he took me. I really appreciated him going and driving for me. Anyway. The dr., a second opinion neurologist, agreed with the first one that there’s nothing neurologically wrong with me – just the fibromyalgia. Not sure how I feel about that.  If there was something neurological going on, they might be able to do something about it. But with Fibro? Just keep treating the symptoms, try not to over do (while trying to get more exercise), and try to avoid stress (which is like saying ‘Try to avoid life.’)

Anyway. Back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Today my plan is to photograph some yarn and fiber that I have ready to go and I need get listed.  I’m also overdying a couple of skeins of yarn that I wasn’t too thrilled with the outcome.

And I’m supposed to be getting ready to go camping this weekend.  But camping is really DH’s thing.  I love to go.  I’m just don’t get excited about the packing and getting ready to go.  Good thing I married a camper who doesn’t mind and who can remind me of everything I need to take.

So that’s my Friday.  I won’t be shipping again till Tuesday, so if you want something now, I need the order to be in before 10 am Eastern time so I can get it ready to go and in the mail.
